ANCOP IS ABOUT SACRIFICE AND EXCELLENCE

When Bro. Ricky Cuenca assumed the headship of CFC ANCOP, he knew there would have to be sacrifices.

Bro. Ricky, who has been based in Canada for the past 13 years, packed his bags and left his wife Irma and daughters Jaqueline and Kristina, albeit temporarily, and said yes to God's call of heading ANCOP, Couples for Christ's work with the poor program. It was during the first ANCOP Congress held last June 19, 2010 that the leaders of CFC convinced Bro. Ricky to take on the challenge of becoming the CEO and President of ANCOP. Finally, after much prayer and dialogue with his wife, he reported to his office in Tandang Sora for the first time, less than a week after his plane landed in Manila.

In a meeting with the CFC ANCOP Tekton Foundation Inc. staff and team, Bro. Ricky motivated each one to take to heart the spirit of ANCOP—the spirit of love for God and neighbor, and the spirit of sacrifice which manifests one's love for the poorest of the poor.

ANCOP COO Eric delos Reyes, on the other hand, reiterated the value of professionalism within the organization. As a faith & service-oriented group, ANCOP workers and volunteers are expected to deliver the services FGCA—Fast, Good, Cheap and Accounted for. He further emphasized that it is through the virtue of righteousness, excellence and accountability that ANCOP would be acknowledged as a good and faithful steward. God will do the rest.

Completing the ANCOP management team are Bro. Rizal Ting, who is the Executive Assistant to the President and CEO, and Sis Olive Ng, who has been tasked to help set up Quikbooks, an accounting application software. Jerry Tanigue of the Middle East has also volunteered to take on the communications group of ANCOP.

With the ANCOP management and operations team set, what can we expect from the leadership of Bro. Ricky and company? Bro Eric puts it this way: “Faithfulness in small matters; faith in a great God!”
